Oregano (Origanum vulgare)

In ancient Greece, oregano has been highly prized for its medicinal properties. Hippocrates used it to accelerate the delivery and treatment of hemorrhoids. During the last two decades, in medical terms, oregano experiencing a renaissance.

A herb with various healing properties, thanks to ingredients and aromatic essential oils it contains. Many research studies suggest a wide range of antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant and other properties of this plant. In traditional medicine oregano is used as a natural antibiotic and as a means of coughing, for spreading the bronchi, inflammation of the sinuses, especially for a chronic sore throat.
